All three walks feature a historical overview of the particular part of the district you choose to stroll, mixed with current rhythms and some substantial nibbling (included in the price) along the way. Tours last about 3 hours and are basically flat--quite unusual in a city of 42 hills.
Discover the charm of the heart of San Francisco.
Let J Walks take you there

This 'other North Beach' is full of intriguing shops, galleries, vibrant public art, bookstores, Victorian architecture, cafes and restaurants. TOUR #2: 'DISCOVER NOE VALLEY'
'DISCOVER NOE VALLEY' begins in front of Mission Dolores. We'll visit San Francisco's origin, take a stroll in Dolores Park for breathtaking views, and continue aboard the J Church to the heart of Noe Valley. Money magazine voted Noe Valley, home to artists, young families, political activists, environmentalists and gourmands, one of the '10 best neighborhoods' for living in the United States.
We'll enjoy a 'light tea' at a cozy tea parlor then proceed along upper 24th Street. You'll be given time to shop in the many long-established one-of-a-kind stores.
$45.00 per person
Tour #3: EL BARRIO -- LATIN AMERICAN MISSION
'EL BARRIO' meets at Café La Boheme, 3318 24th St. @ Mission, then strolls down el calle principal, San Francisco's own 'Avenida de las Americas'. En route we'll learn about the lives, traditions and flavors of the colorful Mexican and Central American residents, view a selection of powerful murals, visit Precita Eyes Mural Center and the Mission Cultural Center, sample tasty tacos, pan dulces and Mexican coffee.
$40.00 per person
Tour #4: 'WHOLE ENCHILADA'
This tour can be customized to include parts of ALL walking tours, and can be two-thirds driving, one-third walking. Roll it into an overall City Tour. It is especially good for groups and visitors who have been to San Francisco before and want a more in depth look at one of The City's more colorful, vital and evolving neighborhoods not commonly showcased.
This focus on the Mission District tour can be as short as two hours or, with lunch and gallery visits, or coffee & pan dulce and shopping time, extend from to 3 - 5 hours. Rates for this tour vary depending on features included. We can charter a bus for you, or you can provide your own. Please ask us!
